Introduction

ESCAC is a private film school affiliated to the University of Barcelona. It offers training for future cinema and audiovisual professionals, and is a member of the CILECT international film grouping.

There is a close working collaboration with established Catalan film companies, governmental and trade organisations, some of which are sponsors of the school. The objective is to complete the theoretical and practical training successfully so that the students have the necessary expertise to work professionally. The school attempts to integrate them into the professional world through national and international activities.

Methodology

There are various course options available:

Graduate Honours Course

This is a 4 year course comprising 8 terms, split into 2 years of a general foundation course, followed by 2 years of specialisation in a particular field of study or profession. This 2nd part also involves creation of a final project.

Course Zero

This is an introductory course for newcomers to the business.
